BYU vs UTEP: this should be a decent game. Both finished the season 6-6 overall. The BYU Cougars are led by junior running back JJ Di Luigi. He led the team in both receiving and in rushing this year. He is an all-purpose back who did pretty good this year. Their quarterback Jake Heaps, who has had 2,052 passing yards and 11 TD'S, has been a big drop off from last year's quarterback Max Hall. UTEP, who has a great receiver in the senior Kris Adams who has 917 yards and 11 TD'S. There senior quarterback, Trevor Vittatoe, has had his worst season passing-wise in the four years he was there. I think the game will be decided by Adams or Di Luigi and I think UTEP will win 31-24.
Northern Illinois vs Fresno State: This will be the best game of the day. Northern Illinois is 10-3 and undefeated in the MAC. Fresno State is 8-4 and 5-3 in the WAC. Northern Illinois is led by senior Chad Spann who has 1,293 yards and 20 TD'S. this proves they are a running team since there leading receiver has 514 receiving yards, which is junior Willie Clark. Fresno State, who is coming off of a big win against Illinois, is led by Sophomore running back Robbie Rouse, who will be likely playing in the game with a cast. He has 1,097 rushing yards and 8 TD'S. their quarterback Ryan Colburn has 2,529 passing yards 21 TD'S and 9 INT'S. I think Northern Illinios will win this 34-24.
The last game of the day will be Ohio vs Troy. Ohio is 8-4 overall and 6-2 in the MAC. Troy is 7-5 overall and 6- in the Sun Belt conference. Ohio doesn't really have a great offense but they have a running back by committee. They have Vince Davidson who has 509 rushing yards and 6 TD'S and QB Phil Bates has 508 rushing yards and 3 TD'S. They haves Senior Wide Receiver Terrence McCrae who has 481 yards and 8 TD'S. Troy is led by freshman Corey Robinson who has 3,339 passing yards and 24 TD'S. Troy has one of the best passing offenses in the game, being 12th overall in the nation. Due to this, I think Troy will win because they are the only real passing team of the day. This will be an exciting offense to watch and Troy will win 35-23.
